how to make my MPEG2 file work in my DVD-player?
on Nov 18, 2002 at 7:26:06 pm

I have made a movie in Ulead video studio 5.0. I have choose to make it a MPEG2 file because this seems to be the best Quality. But I can't play it right in my DVD player. Something is wrong. It seems to be soe interrupting wit the sound andthe movie. But if I make the movie to become a VCD (MPEG1) it works allright. But my problem is that this is to lousy quality. I want to make a VCD out of my MPEG2 file. Can anyone help me, PLEASE??
Sory for my bad english.

Greetings from Norway.

There's more than one MPEG2 format. I'll bet you saved your video in MPEG2 I-frame. DVD players need MPEG2 IBP format that's been authored into DVD format as multiplexed VOB files. Some DVD authoring software will transcode your MPEG2 I-frame into IBP for you as part of this DVD build process.

So what DVD authoring package are you using?
