I am putting together a PC based system for video editing and would prefer to use a LCD
monitor to make it more portable. I was wondering what are considerations in choosing
an LCD monitor for this type of application? The 15" ones seem to be limited to
1024x768 resolution so I am looking at 17" which are quite pricey. Does one have to be
concerned about the response time to ensure clean display of action shots? If so what
is a suitable response time?
Are there any other issues I should be concerned about?
To date I've always read that for the most part CRTs are better than LCDs in terms of graphics. Really, a video monitor is actually best for computer video editing. Sony makes a nice 13" Wega flat screen tv that other people have recommended. Of course using a CRT and video monitor aren't very portable.
