DVD vs CD video authoring?
on Apr 15, 2004 at 7:27:28 pm

I am setting up a beginners video editing system on my home PC with Pinnacle 9 av/dv. It will be used for small projects and home videos. I need to economically decide on purchasing either a DVD burner or just a CD burner for authoring. Aside from price.... how will the results between the two differ? I sure would appreciate any advice or feedback. Thanks.

Go with the DVD burner. For the added expense, you get better quality video and better compatibility with set top players.

dyna bigtime difference...go with a dvd +/- dual format burner...your old library of 8mm or vhs is worth the $$$...you will have more fun too!
