My sonic DVD software will accept and burn a MPEG2 file with 3.2gb
to a 4.7GB DVD disk..... it will not take a 3.8gb file. What is the maximum file size it will accept???

Technically, 4.7 is actually 4.38, but I don't believe that's your problem.

I suspect your problem is your source video uses compressed audio and your version of MyDVD only supports PCM audio. The result is that your audio is expanded from its present rate to the PCM rate of 1600 kb/sec, making the DVD project grow. If your version supports AC3 Dolby Digital audio, then your audio should actually shrink a little.
