Shrink Video within Margin Safe Areas?
on Sep 16, 2003 at 11:32:54 pm

Hi all -

I have some avis that I want to burn to DVD but the "Margin Safe Areas" contain important info and they are getting cut off.

I tried taking it into Premiere to apply a reverse zoom (static) that would put a border around the edges and shrink the video but Premiere doesn't like the low frame rate and low audio rate (captured with Camtasia at 22kHz audio, 15fps).

Please don't tell me to recapture.

I thought maybe there might be some DVD Authoring software out there that allowed video to be played within a "frame" that would restore my marginal content.

Any ideas?

Since you are using Premiere, select the clip on the timeline and right click > video options> Motion, set your start point to center, then set your zoom to 85% and do the same thing with the end point.

Next time you capture set Camtasia to 30fps,and your audio to 48.

you can drop a frame below the video track you have the main video on if you don't like the black border.
