HELP! DVDit Error with Pioneer A05
on May 22, 2003 at 4:25:44 pm

For some reason DVDit won't let me burn my DVD. I'm using DVDit with the Pioneer A05. I'll select the option to burn the DVD to a disc and as far as I can tell, all of the options are set for burning a 4.7gb DVD. However, it lists my DVD burner as a Pioneer DVD RW 105 rather than the A05 (don't know if this means anything). Anyway, The software will begin decoding, but stops and comes up with a message that says:

"The content of the project (after encoding) exceeds the 650 MB available space on the CD-R. You must remove some video or audio on this CD-R."

I'll then click OK and it states: "Failed to build DVD in folder."

Can anyone tell me what's going on? Again, as far as I can tell, every option is set for a DVD and not a CD-R. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have a cdr in the drive.

Have you tried to make a DVD Folder on your hard drive and then burn it with a burning software?

I have had the same problem with DVDit not burning striaght to disc from time to time so I just make a dvd folder and use Prassi DVd pro or gear mastering edition to burn my dvd-r's
