New 48-Hour DVDs!
on May 21, 2003 at 4:15:52 pm

Has anyone heard of these new DVDs that are good to view for two days?

I think that these will be a welcomed change to having to go to the video store TWICE for ONE movie. Plus you won't have to worry about those outrageous late fees or the extra gas it takes to get to and fro and to and fro. And think about it, you don't have to watch the movie on the video store's time, you can watch it whenever you are ready to do so. I like the sound of that.

And like we don't have enough trash in the world today, with the life expectancy of a dvd 100 plus years.

Most dvd rental places want make any money off of these, because most of their profit comes from late fees and repeat rentals.

this sounds like the original (failed) divX idea. where the disc's expire over time. this is a waste of materials if ya ask me...to constantly replace the discs and whatnot. this was an old old idea that never caught on for obvious reasons.
