Some VHS Tapes yes, some no.
on Mar 25, 2003 at 8:53:34 pm

Have any of you ran accross this, and more importantly, found a way to solve it?

I have a ATI All in Wonder Radeon 7500 card. I have a vcr connected to it and often make video caps of hockey fights from vhs tapes. Lately, I have been trading tapes with a person who dubs with a dual vcr, and I can not view his tapes on my cap card tv tuner. The audio is fine, but the video is black and white and will not track. The tapes are good to excellent quality, and play fine in the three vcrs in my home that are directly connected to tvs. I have never had this problem with vhs tapes in the past, even poor quality. I have tried hooking different vcrs to the cap card, same problem. I have sent one of the tapes to a friend who has a different video cap card, same problem. I have spoken with the the gentleman who dubs the tapes and he insists that he is not doing anything special in terms of copy guarding, just that he dubs them with dual deck machines.

Anyone else ever have this type of issue?
