How to format DVD-RW
on Dec 30, 2002 at 1:01:58 pm

Hi there I just burned my first DVD-RW in my Pioneer A05 and am happy to say it worked perfectly. I then burned a DVD-R copy of it and was wondering how I can format my DVD-RW so I can use it again to test other DVD's before I burn DVD-R's? Is there a setting in the software that came with the A05 that will let me do this? Also I used DVDit to burn the DVD with no problems at all, I didn't know if I would be able to use DVDit cause I read a post on here that said that DVDit doesn't support the A05 yet. Fortunatley DVDit works perfectly with this drive!
Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated.
Later
Brent

DVDit fully supports the A05. You really do not need to do anything to the DVD-RW prior to re-use. When you're ready to burn another test disk simply re-insert the DVD-RW and select "Create DVD" from DVDit. At some point during the creation process you will get a prompt that says "Disk is not blank, do you want to erase ?". Just click "OK" and DVDit will erase the disk and re-write your new project.

It couldn't be simpler. :-)
