I am wondering what DVD authoring program would be good for my needs.
I shoot mostly home video with occasional special projects--never longer than 5 minutes but there is a lot of them. I use a Digital Origin MotoDV capture and Adobe Premiere LE for my editing (getting dated now as I know) but it still serves me well.
I edit on a Dell PIII 500MHz with a dedicated 12 GB hard drive for video.
I would likely upgrade to a 100GB drive of some type before DVD creating as well as add a burner such as the Pioneer. The burner likely comes with some software but will it suffice for my needs?
I have hours of video footage that is a blast to watch but it is just impossible finding the clips you want to see. I want to put my footage on DVDs for random access with simple menus to access the different clips. My 5-minute projects only scratch the surface of all the raw video available. Any advice in choosing the right DVD authoring tool would be appreciated.
I am not averse to an Adobe Premiere upgrade if that was felt necessary as long as the Moto DV plug-in would still work.
