Premiere Pro 1.5 rendering
on Mar 1, 2005 at 11:17:58 pm

I have a 3.2ghz pentium4 precsot with 1gb ram and 250gb SATA drive with an asus mb... winXP pro SP2.
my question is why does premiere only use around 50 to 70% of the processor even though nothing else is running that seems to be taking any cycles? I was hoping it would use 100% of it and render faster. Are there any tweaks I can do with premiere or XP to make it render faster or is it going as fast as it can go?

Try asking that question on Adobe's forums, tech support might give you an answer.

I notice on my installation of Pro 1.5 that if I am rendering a DVD the processor goes nearly full tilt for the rendering part, then drops way down for the writing part.

And if I've got a lot of effects and such on the timeline, especially Steadymove and film looks going, the processor really has to work to keep up with just playing it all back.

(2.8 running at 3.1 ghz, 1 gig ram)
