hey guys this is my first post. i'm starting a wedding videography business and hopefully grow and do some bigger thing. i was looking at canopus and avid what is the best one for my needs please help me.

I have not used either so I can't help there. However I would encourage you to pay attention to the sound quality. I recently did an outdoor wedding and there was a steady wind. I had expected there to be a sound system and there wasn't. Most of it could be heard, but I had to get the bride and groom to re-record their vows and dub them over.

I've been very happy with my Matrox RT.X100 system. I get more realtime effects than I know how to use, plus realtime transcoding for DVD authoring.

Look at Matrox's demo before deciding.
