Help! with Pinnacle Edition

Hopefully someone can help with this...

I have been working on a video preview for about a week. Until last night, I have had no problems exiting the program and opening the project back up. Last night, the project came up, but empty. No timeline, no rack, no sequence. I can find the captured clips in the "media library" but it has all the clips, including the ones I didn't put on the timeline, and are all unedited.

Why would this happen, and how do I avoid it, especially after I invest weeks worth of work on a project?

FYI, I do not use a separate hard drive for video storage.

This is a common situation that is not a glitch, bug or crash. It's just poor documentation. Your project is still there and in tact. When Edition crashes it re-opens with a new sequence. if you go to the sequence menu you will see your old sequence listed. Just select it and all your project will be there - just as it was before.
