I saw another student film (I see a lot, don't I? ) and in one sequence a pair of students did a spoof of the subway fight from THE MATRIX but instead it was shot in a wood. During the fight, the "Agent Smith" fighter threw the "Neo" fighter into a tree. Smith walked over to Neo, and did the rapid punches into Neo's midriff as seen in the film, complete with the mutiple motion-blur images of his forearm's moving back and forth. The effects surprised me, as I had no idea it could be done.
Is there something more to this besides clever work in post, or is it simply a digital effect applied during editing. If so, can someone please shed some light on how I might be able to do this?
