After starting with Pinnacle DV500 DVD and Premier 6.5 with the Smartsound plugin, I find my self lost after following the Pinnacle upgrade path to Liquid Edition. Sound effects are nice, but royalty free music DOES set the tone and tempo of a movie to a great degree.
Just read a review on Premier Pro and discovered that Smartsounds are not available there either.
I was teetering on upgrading Premier 6.5 to the full suite of Adobe Video Collection til I discovered the lack of Smartsounds for this product. This will help save some $$$ and reduce the learning curve, but...
Is there a way to recapture the Smartsound capabilities in Liquid Edition? Would this be Sonic Fire Pro, or Maestro?
I upgraded to Premiere Pro and found that the Smartsounds plug-in that came with my version of 6.0 works with Premiere Pro just fine. I also uderstand that Adobe Audition comes with lots of music tracks that you can customize to use with your video, however, I have not even started using Audition yet.
