weird capturing problems
on Aug 5, 2002 at 8:32:35 am

Premiere 6.01 stops capturing after about two seconds. I got XPpro, maxtor OHCI-card, pentiumIV1600, Msi 645 ultra, GeForce 2 mx400, IBM 40gb 7200 & Maxtor 60GB 7200. Device manager says OHCI-card is ok and it recognizes my Panasonic MX300 DV-cam as an imaging device. Premiere works fine on everything else, even on exporting to tape etc. I can control my camera on Premieres device control without any error messages, but after two seconds image freezes on Movie Capture window and at the same time capturing stops.. Premiere doesn`t freeze up and I can control my camera even after that. Can anyone help me on this annoying problem?? I`ve been having "Infinite Loop" problem but this doesn`t seem to be related to it ??? and that loop problem is settled for now by using windows drivers instead of nVidia detonators.

Ookay I fixed my problem. Had to format hard-disk and make a clean install of XPpro. Now capturing works just fine, although controlling my camera is very slow, everything happens after 2secs I press the button on Device Control.. dunno why?? And XP won`t boot up everytime, it says "/system32/config/system file is corrupt or missing.." what can be the cause for this ???????? Infinite loop isn`t bugging anymore, maybe because I`m using windows` crappy drivers for nVidia...
