I am using Premiere 5.1 and have a Matrox g400 tv card on a Win 98SE system.
When I capture at 704x576 25 fps PAL in either the Matrox PC-VCR tool or in Premiere, I can't view the clip properly in the source monitor window. The complete clip plays OK, but when it is paused and the scrub bar is moved or the frame forward/back are clicked the screen goes black. The time counter moves as you do this, but all you get is a black screen. If you click the timeline window the picture is restored in the source window. (this problem does not occur if I capture using one of the RGB settings in the Matrox PC-VCR tool)
I have searched on a variety of places for help, and someone suggested it was to do with the way the clips are decompressed/compressed by the Matrox codec. He suggested there should be a settingfor the .INI file that should correct the problem.
I have tried some settings but none of these have worked so far, can anyone out there help??
