capturing video in Premiere 6.5..audio delay??
on Jan 23, 2003 at 1:28:35 pm

Hi there...Last night I decided to get started on a dvd project...so I captured an hour of composite video (this is the first time trying to capture a clip that long..normally I capture a minute or two.) I noticed after capturing that the audio was late...like a bad kung fu movie! The video would do its thing...then 5 seconds or so later the audio would catch up. Is there a setting within Premiere 6.5 that I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I could probable move the audio track, but I still feel like there would be a little delay!

You didn't mention what hardware you were using to capture your video so I'll just take a guess. I have one of those USB Instant DVD boxes (and a DV cam and decent capture card), and I have experienced video-audio delays with it. I've not had delay problems from my DV camera or using my capture card.
