old post, but maybe the info will be helpful. Pinncle systems has a dreadful tech support network. The best help is thru the user forum. As may be the case with any software, the users it works for like it and the ones that have problems hate it.
I had massive problems with Studio7, installation and misc problems. The biggest complaint I had, and still have, is that Pinnacle will not give the kind of support that others do. My opinion is that they hope you will just go away.
After many hours searching the board, and getting a new computer, I am finally satisfied with Studio 7, but do not intend to go to Studio 8.
I vote Pinnacle users forum YES, Pinnacle Tech Support NO.
