I need some help setting up a system to do the following:
I need to record live broadcast video from five different sources (I could do with only two at this stage of the project). Ideally, I should be able to record 24-hours, but would consider recording shorter files if necessary.
My client will need to watch all video simultaneously while they remain time-synchronized, so he know what was going on i neach video at a particular time. This will be handled by an application currently being programmed.
I would really appreciate any pointers, help, tips in choosing a system to record the video, number of computers I may need, recommended video cards, codecs to use, etc.
I will not be adding any effects to the video. It will be live broadcast video from local tv stations, digitized to be shown at 160x120 resolution with audio. Digitized video files must be ready for delivery to client by noon the next day - they will probably be burned to dvd as microsoft video files.
