Scanning or Digital Camera?
on Oct 14, 2002 at 12:52:47 am

I have many photographs to import into PRemiere. I used to scan the pictures, but that takes FOREVER! I know some professionals are using their Digital Camera and taking pictures of the photographs.

I've tried this but I either get too dark pics or I get a reflection of myself and the camera in the glossy reflection from the photograph. I guess it's the lighting mainly, but has anyone done this before. If so, can you give me some tips?

Thanks in advance!

While you can use a digital camera to copy a picture, lighting is the problem. You need to use a light tent, that provides diffuse lighting, minimizing reflections.

I'd stick to scanning them.
