2D animation for video
on Oct 10, 2002 at 2:37:57 pm

I was wondering what people are using to do 2D animation for their videos.

I've asked one vid editor I know and he uses Flash, he says.

I'm going to have to do some stuff like exploded parts diagrams (Isometric 2D) with slight animation. Also - I'm going to need to animate something like a technical drawing, which is overlayed on the original video source, basically just highlighting certain component parts by animating an outline around them, so you see the line being drawn, etc..

I'm baffeled as to what to use for this.

I suspect that the same software I'm looking for would also be good for laying out and animating composited backgrounds, to be used underneath of titling.

Please let me know what you find useful for doing some of the above tasks that I have listed.

Thank you very much and thanks Videoguys for a GREAT site!
