Live HDV capture for lightshow...
on Mar 16, 2005 at 7:46:50 pm

I am working on a project where I need to dump a streaming HDV signal from a Sony HVR-Z1U into a Dell Windows XP Pro P4 3.2 1Gb box. I need to capture the HD video real-time to integrate it into a digital lightshow running on the PC. What additional hardware do I need? What software do you recommend? If I plug FireWire from the camera directly into an ODHC-compliant FireWire board, will it transfer M2/T or component video? Where can I go for expertise on this challenge?
Thank you!

With Pinnacle Liquid Edition pro you can capture the video as native HDV to your drvie, then use the PRo breakout box for component output.
