I have the following questions
I have a JVC HD Cam which I learned is not in the best position as a "workhorse" I have had it over a year but am now just starting eding and saving stuff to DVD - I have Premiere 6.5

The camera out puts files IN MPEG2 FORMAT but uses a strange file ending (m2t) I have Premiere 6.5 it does not know these file any one know how I can convert them or get the program to use them

I also learned that most people who have .ts files from TV cards convert them to mpeg (I have HDTVtoMPEG2 1.10.6) is this the standard usage now ?

thank for you time

to edit HDV you're going to need some upgradeing. Check out opur new Cineform bundle. For $799 you get Premeire pro, Encore DVD, Audition AND the Cineform Aspect HD. Aspect HD lets you input teh HDV and edit multiple streams in real-time
