Problems with no video in premiere monitor windows. I have spoken with Canopus twice and Tech Support here at VG.com and am looking for added help.
Running Canopus DVStorm2 Pro plus with Premiere Pro1.5 on a new Dell 670 workstation with dual 2.8g Xeons, 1G ram, 80G sys sata, 250G av sata, ATI FireGL V3100 with 128M PCI eXpress. Videoguys think its the ATI card (they say it doesn't work with sys) and canopus aren't really sure either way. They are working on the PCIX bus issues currently. I must add that tech support at both companies has been decent.
Canopus says they are testing the HP xw6200 workstation to try to address the PCI X bus issuess and get certification. The Dell workstations all ship with PCI X for graphics and not AGP. Most people I have spoken with suggest changing the graphics card to an Nvidia based card.
Aside from Canopus still testing the PCIx slots, what are further recommendations for a different graphics card?
