I'm having trouble capturing audio when I try to capture video from the Sony Digital 8 videocam I'm using. My editing software is Pinnacle Studio 8. Is my problem my capture card? Hardware? Any help would be great. Thanks.
1. It's been several years since I used an AIW card, but if things haven't changed, you need to make sure that, when you set up the capture settings, the source selected in the software matches the actual connection. For example, if you have connected the audio out from the camcorder to the soundcard, then it would be "Line In". You need to check the manuals for details.
2. Have you tried capturing the video through a fire wire port?
3. Also, have you tried posting your question on the Pinnacle Studio 9 forum?
