I have a client who is looking to install a dedicated hardware to create a split screen HD video feed that will show a projector feed (Powerpoint [I think it is a 4:3 display]) over the majority of the screen, and video of a presenter in the side of the screen ...possibly a company logo in the remaining real state. The resulting signal should be a 16:9 HD signal that can be sent off for streaming and display in a neighboring room. They want a completely hands-off solution that doesn't require an operator or video professional to be present -just turn it on and go. This is for one dedicated presentation room -not to be moved in any way.
My limited experience in this real leads me to a tricaster mini or something in the tricaster family, however I've had some tricaster failures and would prefer something more reliable (I'm thinking dedicated hardware). Also, I feel like a tricaster is overkill, since this is the only purpose of the machine ...though the streaming abilities of a tricaster might come in handy. It doesn't have to be cheap ...as long as it's not over $15K we should be good, but I'm open to suggestions over that if they are ideal.
