WD My Book Velociraptor Thunderbolt Duo External Hard Drive - a good bet?

Hello!

I just updated my entire video editing system to include 3 Canon xf100s, and a new 27" i7 iMac with 32GB RAM, 2GB video card and thunderbolt ports. Now I'm searching for a speedy external hard drive to compliment it all and have come across The My Book Velociraptor Duo by WD. It looks amazing (10,000 rpm with Thunderbolt) but is rather expensive especially for only 2TB.

Do any of you use this drive? if so, are you satisfied? if not, what drive do you suggest in my quest for ultimate speed and reliability?

Thanks!

We recommend G-tech drives. They are built for video editors. extremely reliable and excellent performance. G-RAID thunderbolt drives start at $599 for 4TB

Our first TB raid purchase was WD 6TP, it only has 2 drives in it.
Was not real fast.
Since then, got the Pegasus TB Raid 6TB - much faster.

Just FYI.
