Anyone using Both Mac and Win 64 for Premiere, and so they play well together?
on Oct 8, 2011 at 8:16:27 pm

Hello- I'm new to video editing, and I'm in the process of having a computer ( PC) built for just CS5.5.

I've never owned a PC, but have always used Apple ( still using them in the studio, mixing records..)

I'm just wondering if there will be issues opening up a project created in Premeire on a pc, on a mac laptop. Are the files cross-compatible, or is there some kind of conversion, or saving that needs to be done? I'd basically like to work on the PC at home, put the project on a FW drive and go mobile to do small edits on the road. Will there be any issues with this?
And, if you use both, are there any gotcha's to be concerned about with the GUI/ terminology from the mac to pc version?

thanks!

Make sure the FW drive is formatted as FAT32. That way both your PC and MAC will be able to read it. This is the biggest 'gotcha'.
