We are just making DVD's so even though the camera can due HD we are filming in an NTSC widescreen format, DVCAM 60i SQ (16x9).
Now this is some type of squeeze format not sure if that qualifies as anamorphic or not.
The problem is I made a bunch of Menu's that are 16 x 9 to be used with this widescreen video but the video isn't actaully 16 x 9.
It is actually wider, which makes the video shorter than the menus.
I am trying to figure if this normal for that capture format and should I just crop the menus to match or are we doing something wrong the way we are using the video. The camera is spitting out the video files so there is no capturing involved we just import the assets. The video is not effected by the import. The aspect ratio is off even if you play the video clip before importing into premiere.
