DIY 7.x choice of ram

I'll be using an Asus P6 58D Premium with a Gulftown 6 core. Between Corsair Dominator (1600) and Dominator GT (1866) which would be the better choice? I read somewhere that the 12G GT set doesn't support Intel XMP. That's what's weighing against the faster ram in my mind. But other posts say that the GT ram does support XMP. I'm doing multicam HD with 4-6 streams. Would the difference in speed provide a significant benefit?

Do you plan to over clock your RAM??
if your answer is no..... then the answer is neither.

standard Corsair XMS will work fine. My understanding that this 6 core chip uses DDR3-1066

If you plan to overclock I'd go with the 1600

my 2 cents

PS From tests I have seen it is an awesomely fast chip. I am just not sure if I would spend that money.

Personally, I am not sure what determines your ability to handle 4-6 streams.. and streams of what?? FULL HD @ what Mbps???
