How would I make a TimeLapse video with Sony Vegas 7.0?
on Jun 6, 2008 at 1:21:53 am

This is probably something pretty easy to do, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Basically, I have a video that is about 1.5 hours long, and I want to condense it down to just a few minutes... How would I do this? Increase the amount of frames per second? or is there a better technique that somebody can clue me in on?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

On thr timeline:

right-click on the video, choose Insert/Remove Envelope and then choose Velocity.

This will give you a colored line through the middle of your video on the timeline. Drag the line up to speed up the video, drag down to get slow-motion.

Double-click on the line to add control points if you want to change speed on certain parts.
