1 or 2 Hard Drives for Video Editing

Will one 500Gb drive be as good as 2-320Gb hard drives for editing home movies and burning them. Thanks for replies

Guess that would depend on how intense your editing will be. If it's just simple stuff one drive should be fine. Normally for more intense applications you want to use a system drive and video drive.

Actually you should always have at least two drives, one for Windows and a second drive for your video. If you capture and edit your video on your boot drive, Windows will interrupt you and cause dropped frames.

So John Q, You say have the OS and Video editing programs on 1 hard drive and tell the software to download the video to the other hard drive. Correct???
