DC1000 an orphaned product?
on Jul 29, 2002 at 7:42:27 pm

Picking up a DC1000 from a friend (is $400 too much for this card?) and was digging around to find out where I could aquire the DV option daughter card. It seems as though this product has become obsoleted - I can't find a source for the upgrade.

Has the DC1000 been suplanted by a newer card (other than the DC2000) ?

Anyone know where I can aquire the DV option?

Thanks!

Here is the deal. Pinnacle used a Sony chip for the DV option. Sony stopped making the chip and Pinnacle ran out of their stock pile. The result is no more DC1000/DC2000 family of products.

Wow, that's a real shame... I've worked on the DC1000DV in the past and found it to be a fantastic card...

So it begs the question, what was Pinnacles successor to the DC2000? What cards out there would you consider the equivalent to the DC1000?

Thanks for the fast response... but the news bums me out :)
