Media storage issue...
on Dec 3, 2007 at 1:30:29 pm

I have been successfully running Avid Xpress Pro using several firewire external HD of varying storage space. However, I would really like to consolidate to a couple drives and create and ideal situation for my media storage. I have been looking at TB drives but wanted to do some research on what others have setup.

Is buying one TB drive and striping it for all media storage a good idea or should I look at a couple 300-500 GB drives...?? Just not sure what hte best solution is...

Thanks for any help!

RAIDS will give u the best performance. A single big drive big drive might have few problems, and HD files need fast acces no just lot of space.

2 or 4 drives in RAID configuration can reach 1 TB (or more) and are more efficient than a single disk.
