Multiple DVD Burners
on Oct 12, 2007 at 10:33:34 pm

I using one of your dual processor DYI5 Guides for building my computer. I have several extra space for additonal DVD burners. I would like to put four in the box, but, Is there software available to drive these burner from one master file?

I have searched the web and find nothing.

Thanks for your help

Nero allows multiple instances so u can make multiple copies at the same time.
Actually the processor do little work while burning (a P IV is fair enough for this task) as long as u have DMA enabled for all burners.

Newer motherboards only have one IDE channel and offer more Sata connectors instead. I may consider a pci card for extra IDE conector. SATA burners are not so common yet and , but is another option.

Chipocludo,
Thanks for the info. I didn't realize I could set up the DVD's for Multiple use and I have Nero. I think I have used up my SATA connections - two drives for Raid 0, Two for Raid 1 and one for the DVD burner. My son is the computer person and can relate to the info.
Thanks for your help
