Is too fast to not good?

Excuse me, how to identify the standard speed of the DVD/- R DVD /- RW ,Double layer DVD /- R, Double layer /- and the RW DVD DL Disc? Because to know this is very important for me. It always appeared that the DVD disk damage when I created DVD before. The creation software that I use is a WinX DVD Author, the CD is a Sony DVD DL Disc. After asking a software development of a company I just know that my DVD disk standard speed doesn't match with the software .Maybe its burns to engrave speed is too fast, generally , I create a full 4.2 Gb DVD in 40 minutes .I’d like to ask how could I know whether Burning speed match mutually with DVD disk or not? The burning speed was too quick is good or not good? I think if the Burning speed was too quick ,it will influence the DVD quality, but why WinX DVD Author do not appear. Can Burning speed that is too quick influences DVD quality exactly?
