I've recently built a new system using Asus P5LD2 SE, cORE 2 dUO e6600 Processor, Geforce 7300GS gfx card, 1Gb RAM. I'm using the primary IDE drive as my OS drive, running WinXP Pro SP2. I was a Premier 6 user, now upgrading to Premier pRO 2. The PC runs fine, but I ran into a problem after digitising in Prem Pro 2. I get this 'GENERATING PEAK FILE' message with a grey bar turning blue next to it, and then Prem Pro stops running.
Firstly, is there anything I could do in general to improve my system, and secondly, what is that message I get? Is the process it is undertaking necessary? Is there anyway of stopping it happening. Or do I need to do something to my PC before it will work.
try asking this in the 'video editing software' forum section.
or search/ post in creative cow website (PPro thread forum) you will probably get a quicker answer.
FYI adobe has a troubleshooting forum for PPro too.
I suspect the media file type is incompatible (created by your capture card?) with your new software.
I suggest 2 gb of ram for 2.0
