I will be buying a new computer soon. About a year ago I bought four harddrives (200G each) for my old video editing machine. I understand I can convert these internals to externals to use with a new machine. Should I try to convert to firewire or will USB be okay?
For live video editing, firewire is best. USB specs out faster, but actually has higher overhead, resulting is slower sustained throughput. USB would be acceptable for storing projects, but I wouldn't use it directly for video editing.
