Firstly what editing software are you going to use, and what capture card do you have.

Using pinnacle 10.6 and no capture card. Firewire in to a raid 0.
Forgot to mention I do HDV

However I must edit my original post. After reviewing several configurations,,,

I purchased a qx6700,,,,

Now the big question is I ordered 667mhz ram, then realized my board can support 800mhz.

Should I send the 667 back and get the 800??

I have read in a few spots, the the difference I would actually see between the two is very very minute.

The answer to your first question is that you should find quite a difference in performance, especially rendering, and full time layers.
Your second question, I tend to agree with the other forum members in that there should be no noticeable improvement.
