copyright free music for film/video

Hi there,

Just a bit of advice for those considering using music in their productions...

Well, without trying to sound too pompous - with music, like everything else in life, you get what you pay for... 'Free' music tends to sound remarkably like 'free' music...ie: don't even go there...

There are a lot of guys pedalling their wares in this genre on the net - problem is - most of them are not really pros. It's not as simple as buying a synthesizer and a computer and laying down a few simplistic ideas - which is what 90% of the stuff out there is....this is quite simply not the best way to come up with great music - but you'll find that this is what most 'copyright free, royalty free music' actually tends to actually be.

Ask yourself this: you spend countless hours making your production look as good as you possibly can - filming, editing, syncing, splicing, adding effects etc. - why ruin it with a sub-standard soundtrack?

It takes years of experience in the music industry to get truly good at something - just like video/film etc...so my advice is; go to someone with a professional track record...
