Best settings for video rendorign
on Sep 16, 2006 at 4:15:40 pm

I am creating a software program with several video clips and animations. It--software program and video clips and animations--will be burned to a CD-R. The user will be able to run the program from CD or through an installer, form the PC.

The program will operate on Windows only. The size of each software frame is 800 x 600. I am using Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.6.
I have several questions which I need help with answering. They are as follows:

What is the best format to rendor the video clips as?
Example: AVI, MPEG (1,2,3)

If AVI or MPEG, what is the best Codec to use?

The program--and video/animations-- will be viewed on a computer screen. Does it matter if the video is rendor as PAL or NTSC?

If AVI is the best rendor, what are the best M-JPEG compressor settings?
Example: Enable codec (Y or N); advanced deblocking (Y or N); asume normalize YUV; Swap fields ( Y or N); and foreced YUV output ( Y or N)

Other settings for M-Jpeg

Encode normalized YUV (Y or N); subsampling;

Thank you for taking time out to answer my questions!
