Last month I bought Adobe Premiere Elements 2 to replace Cyberlink Power Director Express and Power Producer because the image rendition of the latter ones was poor. I uninstalled all the Cyberlink Suite software, thinking that Adobe Premiere would replace codecs with better ones - I was wrong.
Unfortunately, it also removed the DVD decoder driver (or software).
Now on, the DVD does not work and the CD only read 'closed' CD. It cannot write any CD or DVD anymore even if Nero Express is being installed.
I installed NVidia DVD PureVideo Decoder for a test: it read all DVDs but the resources were too demanding for my computer, I had to uninstalled it because the image was 'sagging'. I talked to a local technician but his only recommendation would be to reinstall Cyberlink software's. I am looking for a better alternative.
