drive options

Confused about the various options on drive storage. The DIY kits point to a system drive(applications and capture) with two RAID 0 storage drives.

Is there an advantage to SATA II drives over SATA 1 for either purpose given that 7200 RPM SATA drives probably can't support the advertised write speeds. In other words, is their any real world disadvantage to using SATA 1 vs SATA II. Pricewise, it seems to be making less of a difference these days I guess.

At the moment, I'm thinking of using a WD Raptor for the system drive and a pair of WD SATA II Caviars in RAID 0 configutation. How does that sound?

Any thoughts much appreciated.
