First thanks for SO much help for so long, even without asking a question.

I am looking for what you all do about disaster recovery. No disaster yet, but I want to be prepared. I have a third harddrive(firewire) all cleaned off just for this purpose. Do you all use backup software that makes an image of the OS drive or just simply copy the entire harddrive to another? (or backup to DVD?) I know many use RAID, but don't I have to start from scratch for that?

Ideally, I would like to have a recovery image of my C drive AND backup of my current project (from second drive) onto my backup drive.

I am running Ulead Products (MSP8, Photo Impact, Movie Factory) & any solution would have to be compatable. I have looked into Ghost, Paragon's Exact Image and Acronis True Image. I have seen horrible stories about all three, where can I get the straight story? I am even leary to install trial software for fear it will mess me up before I can backup my now great running c drive.

If you dont want to RAID (yes you'll have to start again) then try nortons Ghost.
