8MM to PC Problems
on Jun 1, 2006 at 12:41:56 am

Hello,

I have recently borrowed a friends Digital 8 Camcorder (TRV530) and am capturing older tapes directly into Adobe Premiere Pro. The problem is, at the bottom of the video, there is a line of static that gets larger and smaller and it is visible in the frame. This line of fuzz stays at the bottom and does not wipe up the screen.

Aside from buying a converter (Canopus etc) is there any other software or hardware that would make this capture work (I tested to see if it was just the age of the video but it is doing that to new video too).

Thanks,

Greg

sounds like a tracking problem.

In PPro try zooming in past the problem at the bottom. (presto.. gone)

Yeah thanks, what I am going to do if nothing else is possible is just letterbox the screen and make sure that the 'static' is not visible, that way i can just adjust the way the frame is situated in order to not cut off any of the picture.

Greg
