Is it good practice, like with local storage, to leave some room on virtual volumes on the Terrablock? Or can we fill them up?

Hi Scott,

No need! Virtual volumes are not tied to any contiguous physical location on disk. This is also true of the disk set a whole. If you make a volume in the last 5% of the disk set, you're not allocating any more of the inner sectors than the outer sectors.

This is very different from hardware RAID systems that have a linear write path from outer to inner portion of the drive, with the inevitable speed degradation after 75-80% full.
