Hello everyone!

New FCPX user here. What is the best way to create an animated title? Specifically, something like this (36 seconds in):

Should it be done in FCPX? Motion? Adobe AE?

Thank you!

There may be something similar in the titles browser, but the best way would be to learn Motion and create your own title plugin template there. But, in the meantime check out some of the great titles from http://LenoFX.com or MotionVFX

I have to follow Bret's advice myself, as I don't know Motion yet.

However, if you look at the existing text animations in FCPX, you have a lot of options. And, when you see something you like you can tweak it A LOT to make it unique. You can change font, size, position, how it zooms in, how it zooms out, etc. Highlight the title's box in the bottom browser and look at all the settings options you have for each animation.

I do like the one you showed in Casey's video. I don't think I've seen one like that in FCPX, but that is what he uses for editing.
