I'm confused on the network delivery for 1080i at 59.94 fps. Is this supposed to be read as 59.94 fields instead?

The specs: 1920x1080 interlaced, upper field first, dropped frame tc, 59.94 fps.

But for SD, 720x480 interlaced, upper field first, dropped frame tc, 29.97 fps.

I have never heard of 59.94 fps to be in 1080i. I only see that in 1080p. And 1080p is not really a broadcasting standards if I'm not mistaken. More of a camera acquisition and local playback format.

Delivery spec terminology is often confusing. This is a standard broadcast delivery spec. 1080i/59.94 means fields. So 1080i/59.94 is the same as 1080i/29.97, just that in the first it means fields and in the second it means interlaced frames (2 fields per frame).
