Did we lose the majority of the stock music in the 10.3 upgrade? I tend to use it as temp track material to cut to. If not, where does it now live?

In this episode, Steve will show you how to add custom folder of music and sound effects that will appear in Final Cut Pro's media sidebar.

Maybe I was not clear. IN FCP10.2 and backwards there was a bunch of stock music included. Most of which came from Soundtrack Pro. Are these tunes no longer available? They weren't great but certainly were ok for scratch music tracks.

Unless you've changed machines, the music is still on your Mac. The Macbreak video I posted shows how to link FCPX to the folders where the music lives. As for a new Mac (Post Soundtrack Pro), there is finished music included with Garage Band as Jingles. Then again, I'm running an early 2009 Mac Pro so I'm assuming it does.

Hey Gary -

I still had Soundtrack Pro on my system, so after a bit of finageling, I was able to create the folder for X10.3.4 as described in the video. Thanks very much for your help!

You're welcome. Glad it worked. But we really have to thank Mark and Steve at Ripple Training :-)

Hey Scott,

When I check my Media browser and select 'Sound Effects', the music shows up in a folder named 'Jingles' in the drop-down menu above the list view (under iLife Sound Effects). I also see another folder named 'Theme Music' which has a few tunes I'd not heard before. 10.3.4 here.
